Dr. Sherry Starr Bester earned her Ed.D. in Special Education at Northcentral University in 2020, her Master's in Special Education at Grand Canyon University in 2012, a B.S. at Wesleyan University in 1996 and an Associates in Art from Tarrant County Jr. College in 1989. Dr. Starr Bester is a Special Education Teacher at Fort Worth ISD. She teaches scholars in a self-contained classroom, that includes all Core Content, Science, Reading, Math, Social Studies, Writing along with daily functional skills, vocational skills, social skills and independent living skills. Her number one goal is to ensure that she has prepares her scholars to be independent productive citizens in a global world. Dr. Starr Bester is a member of the National Honor Society and the National Society of Leadership and Success. She is a member of the True Vine Missionary Baptist Church and is a Children's Choir Director and sings in the Church Choir and Praise Team. In her free time, she enjoys decorating for special events, traveling, growing plants, watching the history channel and Turner Classics Movies. Dr. Starr Bester has been married to Mr. Demetrius Bester for the past 17 years. Mr. & Dr. Bester are the proud parents of two children. Dr. Starr Bester is the daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. W. J. Starr of Nacogdoches, Texas
